I am not a professional photographer, and I would not describe myself as a serious amateur photographer. However, I do enjoy photography and videography and have been fortunate enough to have been to a few unusual places, normally accompanied by a camera or two. Read more about my photography hobby at

Apologies for the 'Ivan Hurst Photography copyright' scrawled all over the photos. I have tried to make it relatively discrete and faint. It does not appear in the printed copies. I hope it does not detract too much.
I bought a magazine a while ago, on the spur of the moment, browsing a newsagents stand. Not a title that I would normally buy, but it had a feature about fire engines. I got home and read it with interest. It had a photo of a Carmichael Mark 12A ex RAF fire engine in the article. This is now very interesting as I own a Mark 12A. In fact I own the only Mark 12A ever made, according to Carmichael, and they should know. I looked at the photo a little closer and worked out were it had been taken, at the War and Peace show 2007. That's OK, its open to the public. Then I checked the photo against mine of that show
http://www.ivanhurst.me.uk/01_MAIN/html/carmichael_mark_12a.html. It appeared to me to be an exact match in all respects, except a little cropping at the bottom perhaps. Was it lifted from my website? I doubt I will ever know for sure.
